Christchurch Earthquake Appeal

The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal weekend was a huge success.

The concert at St. John’s Church Hagley, 50 yards from the Hall, got the weekend off to a great start.  Jonathan Lemalu, the leading New Zealand Bass Baritone, generously agreed to donate his performance as had the fabulous NZ lyric Coloratura Soprano Ana James.  They were accompanied by Lindy Tennent–Brown who is now established as one of NZ’s finest young pianists. The concert was followed by a dinner catered by Amadeus, the leading hospitality firm based at the NEC but not before the dazzling aerobatic display from The Twister Duo.

Sunday saw the park open for an afternoon of family fun with many attractions taking place.

In all over £50,000.00 was raised and we would like to thank all that contributed.
