Hagley Hall did a tremendous job
When we looked at Hagley Hall some months before our wedding we knew it was it was everything we wanted for our big day, a grand stately home. We wanted for ourselves and our guests the thrill of having exclusive use of such a rare type of venue. What we liked so much about it was the balance of formal and informal – the reception rooms with their high ceilings, ornate plaster work, oil paintings, antiques etc and the informal part in the ground floor areas, being the lounge, bar and disco room.
The setting is that of the perfect stately home with views of the cricket square, church, deer park and the Worcestershire countryside beyond. It really has the wow factor. In the proceeding months we began fine tuning the wedding with Kate, Head of Events. She gave us great advice and ideas to make our day everything we wanted. She was very efficient at returning calls, emails, following up on promises etc. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The day before the wedding we took everything there and gave Richard a huge list of everything to do, how to set the rooms up, table plans, timings the lot. Poor man! This was no mean feet but he got it all perfect. Well done!
The day went brilliantly. Guests entered the reception room with many attentive waiters serving champagne and canapés along with a superb pianist hitting all the right notes. The atmosphere was electric. Since it rained a bit during this time we had photos taken inside where there is ample photographic opportunities. Richard then ushered us all through to the dining room and made all the necessary announcements during the meal. Clearly he is a dab hand at this now! After the meal we then went downstairs and partied on until midnight.
In summary we are pleased to advise that Hagley Hall did a tremendous job for us and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
P.S. The other thing that did it for Harry was the Airblade hand-dryers in the toilets!
