The 2011 series of Candlelight Christmas dinners was again a huge success with more than three hundred guests joining in the festivities leading up to the holiday period.
There was a new look to the gala evenings with award-winning chef Anthony Morgan from Belbroughton leading the catering brigade and concert pianist Matthew Davies from Oldswinford providing the musical entertainment. The evenings started with a drinks reception, followed by Matt at the piano playing a repertoire of seasonal music and Morgans Catering serving a mouth-watering four course meal.
We had great feedback from guests who said that the food was really superb this year and we hope to be able to use Morgans and again next time we do the Candlelight events. Matt Davis is our resident wedding pianist and always provides our wedding clients with first class musical entertainment and we were thrilled when he offered to play during our Christmas events. Matt chose a selection of pieces with all with a Christmas theme, of course, from Chopin to The Snowman. For the finale guests raised the roof with some rousing carol singing.
Once again the Crimson Dining Room proved to be a popular option for larger parties of up to 28.
