The Girls Lunch and Meeting event organised by Nat West Bank and Quality Solicitors Talbots was held at Hagley Hall last week with a slight twist – instead of lunch, afternoon tea was served!
50 attendees started the afternoon with a glass of champagne and pomegranate juice garnished with a chilled fresh raspberry. As the networking got underway, The Dressing Rooms from Halesowen displayed a unique selection of occasion wear and mother of the bride outfits that attendees could browse through. Matt Davies the resident pianist here at Hagley Hall, entertained the group during the drinks reception and played “tea for two” as the ladies filed through to the Saloon for afternoon tea.
As it was a networking event we had several suppliers exhibiting and on hand to talk to the ladies about their particular area of expertise. Gadds Cake Specialist exhibited a selection of tiered cakes that made very attractive table centres for each table. Belle Bonboniere supplied matching menu cards and favours and the afternoon tea itself was supplied by the NEC caterer, Amadeus. The spread included hand cut sandwiches and a sublime collection of pastries, macaroons and of course mini scones with cream and jam complimented perfectly with a refined cup of Lady Grey and slice of lemon.
Kate Oliver, Head of Events gave a brief talk about the Hall and its events business and the importance of working with the right suppliers.
Each attendee received a beautiful iced cupcake with delicate iced sugar rose bud supplied by Gadds to take home.
