Sotheby’s Dinner

Sotheby’s recently chose Hagley Hall as part of a national tour promoting an exhibition of outstanding paintings called “A Great British Collection.”

The paintings, from the Victorian age, had been collected by Sir David and Lady Scott and will be sold at auction on November 19th.

The proceeds will go to the Finnis Scott Foundation which was established by Lady Scott in her will in 2006. The foundation makes charitable grants currently focused on horticulture and plant sciences, as well as art and art history.

Sotheby’s used a number of prestigious locations around the country to showcase some of the works of art. The exhibition at Hagley Hall was organised by Sotheby’s Cheltenham office and was followed by an exclusive dinner for an invited audience of 40 guests.
